Gymnocalycium Damsii is an unusual cactus native to the mountainous and grassy areas of Argentina. It produces a spherical, slightly flattened shoot, reaching a diameter of about 13 cm. The surface of the stem is divided into approximately 9-11 quite wide ribs with a dark green, almost black color, broken by shades of gray. The plant is additionally decorated with curved, radially distributed, cream-colored thorns. Due to their shape and arrangement, Gymnocalycium damsii is also called “Spider-cactus”. In early summer, large flowers appear on thick, erect stems. It is a cactus valued for its expressive and abundant flowering.
