Epipremnum Pinnatum Variegata is a tropical climber with long stems and very attractive glossy leaves. Initially, they are elongated, heart-shaped and have entire edges, and as the plant grows, successive leaves become lanceolate and elongated in shape, with single holes and deeper indentations in the lamina, until the leaves become deeply cut all the way to the main nerve.
The variegata form is characterized by numerous white discolorations in the shape of small spots, speckles, large white spots, up to a half or even complete absence of chlorophyll on some leaves. White discoloration contrasts effectively with green and mixes with it to varying degrees, giving mint-gray or light green shades. Each leaf is uniquely colored, therefore the observation of newly developing leaves always arouses a lot of emotions and brings many surprises. The variegata form grows slower than the green-leaved form, and the leaves are ultimately smaller.
Thanks to the presence of light tones, Epipremnum Pinnatum Variegata will wonderfully brighten up the interior and add freshness to it, at the same time bringing a tropical atmosphere. The plant fits both modern and classic interiors. It can be grown as a hanging and climbing plant. For a beautiful and expressive color, it will need a lot of diffused light.
Advantages of the Epipremnum Pinnatum Variegata:
- fashionable form of variegata
- optically brightens the interior
- color unpredictability
- climbing or cascading habit
- effective, white-cream, irregular discoloration
- a rarity for collectors
- low requirements and easy to grow
Requirements:
Epipremnum loves bright places, but not directly sunny. The substrate should be fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, slightly moist and slightly acidic. Due to the variegated leaves, the plant is fed every second watering with fertilizer for plants with decorative leaves, using half the dose. Epipremnum can be trimmed, thus regulating its size and shape.
It is worth remembering that epipremnum is a plant that is toxic to animals and humans, so caution is advised in its cultivation.
The plant is sold in a pot with a diameter of 17 cm. Plant height measured with the pot is approx. 50-60 cm.
