Epipremnum Cebu Bleu

An unusual, rare potted plant that delights with its structure and color of its foliage. The name of the variety ‘Cebu Blue’ directly relates to its origin and external appearance. It was originally found on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. “Blue” indicates the amazing blue color of the plant. We can also find it under the name Epipremnum ‘Cebu Blue’. Ultimately, it reaches a height of about 100-120 centimeters and, depending on our preferences, it can be grown as a climbing or hanging plant. The leaves of young seedlings are small in size and have a slightly more rounded, regular shape with elongated, sharp tips and a dark green color. As the plant matures, leaves of considerable size appear, as well as indentations and holes typical of other monstera species. Ripe leaves are stiff, leathery and deeply dissected. Under good lighting conditions, they take on an unusual, lunar color with a distinctive shine. It is best grown as a climbing plant next to a solid stake. Undoubtedly, it is an extremely interesting plant that delights with its size, structure of leaves and their blue-gray glow. A collector’s plant, the availability of which is very limited.

Care:

For a good epipremnum growth, choose a bright place, but not in direct sunlight. The amount of light affects the color of the leaves. The substrate should be fertile, humus-rich, permeable, constantly moist, however, avoid too abundant watering, which may lead to rotting of the roots from excess water. It is a good idea to allow the substrate to partially dry out from time to time. It does not tolerate temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. In the summer months, the plant can be fertilized from spring to autumn, it is worth adding fertilizer for green plants once every two weeks. Fertilization is not necessary in the fall and winter. The growth of the plant is then slower and it uses little nutrients. A suitable substrate is a universal substrate.

The plant is sold in a pot with a diameter of 17 cm. Plant height measured with the pot is approx. 60-65cm.
