Hoya burtoniae is a tropical vine that grows naturally in the Philippines. Its multicolored variegata form captivates with small, oval-shaped fleshy leaves that grow on long shoots. This unusual home flower is hard to come by, the more it should charm hoyomaniacs. The leaves of this variety are diverse and extremely attractive in terms of color. Some have light green or cream discoloration in the middle of the gill and a dark green margin, others are locally decorated with bright spots or covered with a pink or even red blush. Young leaves and new growth are pink, but turn green over time. The leaf blade is fleshy and hard, covered with a soft down, palpable to the touch, and its edges are slightly wavy. This variety has tiny, spherical, dark pink flowers, collected in impressive, umbellate inflorescences. They are very similar to the flowers of the green-leaved form, produce a lot of nectar and smell attractively caramel, lasting about 5 days. Thanks to the picturesque and variously colored leaves, this hoya looks really great. It does best in a hanging pot, but can also be grown on vertical supports.

Requirements and care:
Hoya is an easy and graceful indoor plant. Accustomed in nature to difficult conditions, it does not require excessive care and attention in the apartment. However, it is worth remembering about its mountain origin and the need for high air humidity. Prefers a warm position with plenty of diffused light. It tolerates drought quite well, but the substrate should not dry out completely. However, it is very sensitive to water stagnation and overflow, so the pot should have a lot of drainage holes, and the substrate must be permeable and well drained. A suitable substrate is a universal substrate. It grows best in tight containers, kept on supports or in a hanging form. In the period from spring to late summer, we feed with fertilizer for flowering plants.
The plant is sold in a pot with a diameter of 12 cm. Plant height measured with the pot is approx. 20-25 cm.
