Hoya Memoria occurs in nature in the Philippines, where it grows at an altitude of approx. 900 m above sea level. It is a small climber, reaching a length of 1.5 to 2.5 m. In home cultivation, it is valued for its low requirements and attractive appearance. Both its leaves and flowers arouse admiration. It captivates with small fleshy leaves of an elliptical and slender shape. They are elongated, pointed, and are about 5 cm long and 2 cm wide. The surface of the leaves is smooth and covered with characteristic silver spots. In a sunny position, the leaves may take on a pinkish-brown blush, and the silver spots become pinkish. In addition to the undoubted beauty of the leaves and attractive habit, hoya memoria is probably the most happy when it blooms! Small, pink-red flowers, covered with a delicate down, are gathered in impressive umbellate inflorescences. They have quite an intense, sweet caramel smell and stay on the plant for about a week. Hoya memoria is a beautiful vine that can take over the whole interior with its long twigs! Its leaves are a pure expression of art – on each of them you will find finely scattered white dots, like paint spots of some chaotic painter. In addition, hoya memoria has one more advantage. When it blooms, which is quite common in our conditions, the scent of its flowers spreads throughout the house!

easy-to-grow plant
Requirements and care:
Hoya memoria is an easy and graceful indoor plant. Accustomed in nature to difficult conditions, it does not require excessive care and attention in the apartment. However, it is worth remembering about its mountain origin and the need for high air humidity. Prefers a warm position with plenty of diffused light. It tolerates drought quite well, but the substrate should not dry out completely. However, it is very sensitive to water stagnation and overflow, so the pot should have a lot of drainage holes, and the substrate must be permeable and well drained. A suitable substrate is a universal substrate. It grows best in tight containers, kept on supports or in a hanging form. In the period from spring to late summer, we feed with fertilizer for flowering plants. Hoya memoria is a beautiful vine that can take over the whole interior with its long twigs! The plant is sold in a pot with a diameter of 14 cm. Plant height measured with the pot is approx. 35-40 cm.
