Requirements and care
Aeschynanthus prefers bright places, but not directly exposed to sunlight. The substrate should be permeable, humus-rich, loose, slightly acidic, drained and moderately moist. A suitable substrate is a universal substrate.
Water the plant regularly, but be careful not to overwater it. It is best to do this only when the top layer of the substrate is slightly dry. For watering, we use boiled water, standing water at room temperature or rainwater. In the period from April to September, we feed the plant every 2-3 weeks, using fertilizer with a low nitrogen content. Aeschynanthus does not tolerate drafts, sudden temperature changes and excess water in the substrate. However, it loves high air humidity, so it is worth spraying it with a very delicate mist.
The plant is sold in a pot with a diameter of 15cm. Plant height measured with the pot is approx. 30 – 40 cm
