Hoya carnosa ‘Krimson Queen’ enchants with its foliage and spectacular flowers with a charming, sweet scent. In the natural environment, it can be found in Asia, New Guinea and Australia. It has thick, fleshy leaves with an oval shape and sharp ends that are arranged opposite to each other. The surface of the leaf blade is extremely shiny and is distinguished by elegant, dark green colouration. The ‘Krimson Queen’ variety is supplemented by irregular, cream-yellow edging with visible abrasions in shades of bright green. Periodically, the leaves are completely covered with a cream colour, which becomes pink when there is a lot of light. The plant produces long, quite stiff shoots that can grasp various supports with the help of so-called sticky roots. During flowering among the leaves, we will see subtle, pink flowers with enchanting raspberry-red centres. They are gathered in beautiful, thick umbrellas. They are star-shaped and look like made of porcelain due to the highly shiny, waxy surface.
