One of the most impressive species of sansevieria that we can grow in our homes. It produces remarkably impressive leaves, up to 25 cm wide! They are hard, very stiff, and upright. Their edge is slightly, irregularly wavy, and the top is blunt. This species of sansevieria is characterized by a very slow growth, but age-old clumps can be extremely large, reaching over a meter in height (at home, the target size will probably be smaller). In addition to its unusual size, the Masonic Sansevieria is also distinguished by an interesting ornament on the leaves and an attractive finish of the edges in the form of a copper-colored border. A very valuable and rare species!
Sansevieria is known as the “iron plant” due to its incredible resistance to water shortage. All varieties of Sansevieria have in common the fact that they adapt well to difficult living conditions – they are not afraid of dry air, water shortage, and a small amount of daylight. An undoubted advantage is also the slow growth, which is associated with the lack of frequent replanting. Sansevieria is long-lived plants that are ideal for amateurs, and at the same time fit perfectly into modern interiors. Another advantage is that they cleanse the air of toxins such as benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, toluene, and xylene. Sansevieria are ideal houseplants that not only filter the air by neutralizing toxic compounds but also produce large amounts of oxygen.
